But I am going to give you a peek of another group of people providing direct care to COVID-19 patients: the home health nurse.

For those on Medicare, this includes scheduling either your “Welcome to Medicare” or your Annual Medicare Wellness visit. The “Welcome to Medicare” visit is for patients new to Medicare in the past 12 months while the Annual Medicare Wellness visit can be completed every year for those on Medicare.

Following a car accident and a subsequent fall, Winfield’s Elizabeth Vaughan was experiencing what she described as “horrible pain” in her back. Vaughan tried to remedy her discomfort by working with William Newton Hospital physical therapist Julie Ross. But the pain was too unbearable, even for therapy. Ross referred her to a new practice right here in Winfield, William Newton Interventional Radiology.
