William Newton Home Health Gets New Home

After operating out of the lower level of the Winfield Healthcare Center since it opened in 1992, William Newton Home Health is moving to downtown Winfield at 1809 Main Street, Suite 200.

“Our hospital has been growing steadily for the last several years,” said William Newton Hospital Chief Executive Officer Ben Quinton. “Home health is no exception. The new space will provide even greater visibility within the community.”

William Newton Home Health has been serving the community since 1981. Home health services enable clients to stay in the comfort and security of their homes and helps them maintain their dignity and independence.

The agency serves residents of Cowley, western Chautauqua, eastern Sumner and southwest Elk Counties, offering skilled nursing care, home health aide care, physical therapy, speech-language therapy, and occupational therapy.

Rachel Livingston, BSN, RN, William Newton Home Health director, said while the team has worked well at the Winfield Healthcare Center, the new location will provide more convenience.

“I’m excited about the new opportunities our move presents. It always surprises me when people haven’t heard about us. Hopefully being downtown, prospective clients will be more aware of our agency, be able to reach us easier, and choose us to provide their in-home care,” shared Livingston. “Since our team serves patients across four counties, being centrally located will help us be more efficient while providing top notch care.”

William Newton Home Health is Medicare and Medicaid certified and a member of Kansas Home Care Association. Treatment is provided in consultation with a patient’s primary care physician and is available to persons of any age who are homebound. Call 620-221-2916 or click here for more information.
